Abstract

Office, school, and home users learn to take and process di gital images for Powerpoint presentations, proposals and reports, Web pages and email attachments, and, of course, traditional album prints. Discussions include shooting under different light sources, with flash and without flash, and composing a wide variety of ph otos from family snapshots, corporate coverages, events, and performances. A critical part of the wor kshop is learning to create simple, searchable image databases capable of being ported across computer platforms and protected against software obsolescence. The lessons and software are compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
