Professional US photographer Kevin Ames starts his lecture at PhotoWorld Asia 2010 with a slideshow of his portfolio of photographs…

…then he regales his audience with entertaining anecdotes of his photographic career, as he leads them into more serious discussions on the importance of good lighting and how to create beautiful photographs. He also spent time on his post processing techniques, in Photoshop, Bridge, Camera Raw and Lightroom. Kevin is an expert in digital imaging, with several books to his name.

The second half of Kevin’s seminar is the fashion photo shoot, where he shares his studio lighting techniques. Here, he embeds a favorite tool, the gray card, at the start of a shoot, with Model Trachelle Santiago, to make sure he gets the correct white balance that gives the right colors.

On Tuesday, Feb 2, Kevin joins top Filipino fashion photographer Raymond Isaac in a location shoot in Taal, Batangas, where traditional, modern and fine art setups will be done in two ancestral homes in the Heritage Town.
