Joel Japlit won twin medals in the recent Wedding Photography workshop conducted by the FPPF last June 21-24, 2010 at Fort Santiago. Japlit showed mastery of his craft by besting his classmates in bridal portraiture and details categories.

FPPF Chairperson Eduviges Y. Huang, center, is flanked by the winners of the Wedding Photography workshop held last June 21-24, 2010 at Fort Santiago. From left to right: Stephen Albano, 1st Place Bride and Groom pictorial; Joel Japlit, 1st Places in both Bridal and Details categories; Delia P. Barrios, 1st Place in Ceremony; and Marco Gatchalian in Pre-Nuptial.

FPPF Project Director Lito Beltran takes the time to explain a basic rule in photo contests: if it calls for color photographs, then it should be in color. That’s why Clever Logatoc, at right, had to settle for 2nd Place even if the score sheet gave him the highest score; his entry was in black and white. Marco Gatchalian, center, got 1st Place in the Pre-Nuptial category of the wedding photography contest.
