FPPF instructor Ador Pamintuan instructs participants on DSLR camera operation during the first day of the basic workshop.
The FPPF is holding Basic Photography Workshop in Calamba, Laguna for five Sundays on September 19, 26, October 3, 10 & 17, 2010. Venue is the Elementary Bldg. of St. John Colleges in Calamba. FPPF instructors from Manila will be in Calamba to conduct the workshop.
The basic workshop will cover DSLR camera operation and handling as well as understanding ISO, aperture and shutter speed and how they relate to correct exposure. The participants will also be taught how to master depth of field, understand how the camera meters, as well as foundation lessons on composition, elements of design, lighting theory and practice and a comprehensive introduction to the digital imaging workflow. The lessons will be full of hands-on exercises using the DSLR camera. The lighting session will simulate studio photography, complete with studio strobes, for the participants to have an in-depth understanding of lighting principles.
The hands-on shoots will require participants to create photographs relevant to the lessons of the day. Critique sessions follow to evaluate the technical and artistic merits of the submitted photos. Medals will be awarded to the best photos on the final day of the workshop. FPPF will award certificates to those who complete the workshop requirements.
For inquiries and payment, Calamba residents may see Ms. Cherry Buenaventura at the Assessor’s Office at the Calamba City Hall, Tuesday and Thursday only, from 10am to 4pm. Those interested may also send an email to lagunaphotoworkshop@yahoo.com or alfredrose2004@yahoo.com.

Hi Maan,
Again i would just like to add up if you are having second thoughts about the teaching. I personally recommend you to enroll as these conductors are my mentors and we are a group of photographers who advocate the proper teaching and development of photography in the Philippines. So one of our activities is conducting photography workshops outside Manila to cater to those interested to “learn” but don’t have the capacity to attend Manila workshops.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Maan,
The conductors of Calamba workshop and Sta.Rosa workshop came from the same faculty of the FEDERATION of PHILIPPINE PHOTOGRAPHERS FOUNDATION but different organizers.Mr. Arnold Perez and I are handling the Calamba Workshop. Mr. Penny Calalang is handling Sta. Rosa workshop. There is no problem if you choose either Calamba or Sta. Rosa as all of the conductors will be coming from the same Federation.
Good Day.
