PhotoWorld Asia 2011 Trade Show at the Glorietta Activity Center, Ayala Malls Makati is now open to the public.
The Philippines’s biggest photography trade show is now open to the public following the official launching Friday, January 27, of PhotoWorld Asia 2011. The annual event, under the auspices of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF), brings together under one roof the major camera makers, trade suppliers, and various organizations and entities in the photography industry.

Top camera makers Canon and Nikon, while being fierce rivals in the marketplace, are seen side by side in peaceful and friendly competition at the trade show floor.
The main trade show floor is located at the Glorietta Activity Center, Ayala Malls in Makati, with additional photo exhibits at Greenbelt 3 and Glorietta 5. The trade show features the latest products and technologies from the various camera gear manufacturers, while the photo exhibits showcase winning images from recently held photography contests.

Earlier in the day, the photo exhibit of Thunderbird Resorts formally opened with the ribbon-cutting, more like rope-cutting, by officials of Thunderbird Resorts and PhotoWorld Asia guests. The photo exhibit at the lobby of Glorietta 5 showcases the photographic art of the various camera clubs affiliated with the FPPF, best of the best during the past year, a harvest of excellent photographs from the monthly inter-club PhotoWorld Cup competitions. The exhibit runs for the duration of PhotoWorld Asia 2011, until February 1.
