The FPPF celebrates its 18th Anniversary today, Oct 15, 2011, in Fort Santiago. As part of the celebration, there will be big discounts offered today by camera gear suppliers, up to 50% off on some selected items. Also, attendees to today’s FPPF Grand Reunion will get P1,000 discount off their registration to PhotoWorld Asia 2012 convention.
The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) holds a Grand Reunion for graduates of the FPPF workshops from the Basic, Advanced and other special workshops on October 15, 2011 at Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila. There will be a fun run inside Fort Santiago as early as 6:00 am, followed by a Photo Walk around Intramuros, fun games among camera clubs and Model Shoot with Miata cars during the day. The Grand Reunion is being held as part of preparations for the PhotoWorld Asia 2012 Trade Show and Convention on January 26-31, 2012.
PhotoWorld Asia 2012 Chairman George Cabig said there will be three photo contests during the celebrations: Photo Walk OTS, Model Shoot with Miata Cars and the Fun Games. The contests are open to registered participants only. The Photo Walk on-the-spot photo competition from 7am to 9am will involve shooting pictures of people and landmarks around Intramuros, the Model Shoot and the Fun Games will happen simultaneously from 9am to 12nn. Downloading of images from the three contests will be at 1:00 pm. Prizes will include photo printers from Canon Marketing Philippines.
Schedule of Activities on October 15, 2011:
5:30 am – Registration of Participants, Entry to Fort Santiago
6:00 am – Fun Run inside Fort Santiago (3K or 6 laps around the garden area)
8:00-10:00 am – Photo Walk around Intramuros (Subject: Intramuros)
10:00-12:00nn – The Games among camera clubs affiliated with the FPPF, on the grassy area of Fort Santiago. The games will be held simultaneously with the Model Shoot with four models. While the games are going on for the camera clubs, the FPPF Basic and Advanced graduates will shoot the models and/or the games.
12:00 noon – Lunch for Registered Participants
1:00 pm – Downloading of images for the photo contests
4:00 pm – Awarding of medals for the PhotoWorld Cup Games

The FPPF will charge a nominal fee of P250 for all those who are joining. The fee covers all those who are joining the FPPF Grand Reunion to defray cost of the following:
1. Lunch Ticket
2. Entrance to Fort Santiago
3. Entry to 3 Photo Contests
The P250 fee entitles the registered participant to an ID to the whole day event. Please bring one 1”x1” ID picture when you come on October 15th.
Throughout the day, excellent free coffee will be served by Mr. Jerry Chua, from the current FPPF Advanced photography workshops, through his coffee company Bialetti Caffe.
