They’re here: (L-R) International guest-photographers Jack Reznicki, Doran Wilson, Don Emmerich and Peter Frank planed in early today, January 25, for their speaking engagements at PhotoWorld Asia 2012. In the afternoon, the FPPF toured the guests around Intramuros, Manila. PhotoWorld Asia 2012 runs January 26-31 at the Asian Institute of Management for the international photographers’ convention, and at the Glorietta Ayala in Makati for the trade show.

The calesa drivers also perform tour guide duties, pointing to significant places around the ancient walled city. “Intramuros means inside the wall,” explains Romy, correcting old history teachers who taught that the name had to do with moros entering the wall.

Shooting cats? It’s more fun in the Philippines. German photographer Peter Frank lies flat on his tummy to take a photo of a stray kitten. American Doran Wilson chose to turn on live view instead.
