The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, FPPF, has announced the holding of Photo World Asia 2018 at a trade meeting with officers of camera manufacturers and photography suppliers at a merienda cena in Makati City. FPPF Chair Mrs. Eduviges Y. Huang said the photography trade show will be on February 1-6, 2018 at the Glorietta in Makati.

During the trade launch, FPPF President Pablo Beltran called for more cooperation with FPPF’s trade partners sponsoring the trade show. “In hard times, we should promote more and sell more. Photo World Asia 2018 is the best venue for promoting your products,” Beltran said.

Photo World Asia 2018 will be the 32nd edition of the annual event since it started in 1987. It has since been held non-stop yearly, and has become the longest-running photography trade show and convention in the Philippines.

The photography trade show at the Glorietta Ayala Malls in Makati will feature the latest cameras and photography products from various suppliers and manufacturers. This is also the week that cameras and other photography gear will be at their lowest prices as sellers offer big discounts during the trade event.

Aside from the photography trade show in Glorietta, famous photographers will be invited to speak at the international photographers’ conference scheduled to be held at the Asian Institute of Management in Makati.

Chairman for Photo World Asia 2018 is Manny Inumerable of the Zone V Camera Club. Manny is a resident of the heritage town of Taal in Batangas. He has converted an ancestral home of his Barrion clan into a camera museum in Taal, housing a one-of-a-kind collection of rare, antique, and expensive cameras. As event chairman, Inumerable will oversee preparations leading up to, during, and after the event for the duration of a whole year. He is assisted in the activities by committees composed of members of various camera clubs in the country.

The FPPF is a non-profit organization of camera clubs and professional and hobby photographers dedicated to the promotion of photography in the Philippines and in Asia.
