Besides his fame for taking eye-catching pictures, Willy is also known for cobbling together a panoramic cam era from a medium-format lens and back, an accordion body made out of cardboard, and metal handles.
The same resourcefulness wowed the vice president of Johnson & Johnson, where Willy worked as mechanical engineer for nine years before turning to ph otogr aphy. There he assembled a cotton bud making machine for less than half the time allocated for him to finish it.
Ph otogr aphy was a passing fancy until 1994, when Willy enrolled in the FPPFs Basic and Advanced Ph otogr aphy Wor kshops, and the interest grew into a passion and shortly thereafter into a profession.
