A visionary and poet of light, colors and patterns, Manny believes a lyrical picture sings a song that speaks straight into the hearts. His photo of a Burmese boy graced the cover of UNICEF’s wall calendar 2009. He is a three-time Grand Prize winner of betterphoto.com and Digital Camera Magazine’s (UK) Photographer of the Year. Manny is a highly sought-after speaker who had conducted sold out workshops in US, Canada, Australia, Holland, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines.
BOBOY LIBRODO
Jose ‘Boboy’ Librodo (http://www.pbase.com/josel) is a music teacher who happens to like visual arts. For 20 years, he has been teaching vocal music, painting and drawing at Ruamrudee International School in Thailand.
“My first camera ever was a Minolta Maxxum,” said Boboy. “It was a gift from my brother-in-law. When I started taking pictures seriously I had a Nikon F80. Then when I joined the Bangkok Photographic Society and compared my photos to the other members I suffered the denial stage. Their photos are better because they have better equipment, or so I thought! Then I bought Nikon F5, 24-80 and 80-200 lenses and started shooting slides!”
Boboy has since taken his photography to the level of art, being a painter himself. His photographs, posted on PBase and Digital Image Cafe, have earned praises from people all over the world. Like his brother Manny, Boboy is a master in digital post processing and that is what the Librodo Brothers will share during PhotoWorld Asia 2012.
